4:27pm 06-22-2019 Neville A Palmer: Hi Stu! I am one of the children of Frisco (Francisco Charles Parker Palmer). Born in 1940 at Crowhall Denver. I have a Sister Vera who lives in Felixstowe, (she was 89 yesterday), brother Mervyn in Downham Market, brother Teddy died in 1943 & buried in Denver cementry of Sandy Lane & sister Jocelyn in Downham. The names of Ken, Renee, Cyril & your mum are our step brothers/sisters. You are correct in saying my dad is buried in Denver cementry, I have visited the grave a few times, it is in very poor condition, the lead writing was all falling out over the years (79). I guess one of the young girls that caught my dad's eye was my mother!!! The rest is history. After that affair I guess he was black listed from the Palmer Family. I had uncles/aunts, cousins who would not acknowledge we were relatives. Ken & his family were very good friends with my brother Mervyn & Renee who lived in Niagra Falls Canada & I were very good friends. Many years she gave me a prayer book that was my Dad's & it was given to him in 1891 when he was 5 years old by his Aunt Mary Jewson. So after all this I guess I am your Uncle! I live in Canada & have since 1972 I gather that you live in Australia. I would like to keep in touch with you as we have many stories to tell. Have to work out how to swap email addresses. I have received Ann MCs joint response to you and I and have read as much of the links she provided to no avail, our problem of communicating remains unresolved so I am going to take a punt on giving you my business web site address, at best you can contact me on that and at worse it could drum up more enquiries that'll have to wait until 2020, haha!
It must have broke your heart to have your daughter leave for such distant shores.We all live within 30 minutes at most ,and our in laws parents also, but I guess we have already taken the plunge in moving abroad and everyone is content.

I have just tried presenting you with my business address but this site has just blocked me as spam so I have now deleted it and try another way which involves you in placing a dot after the abbreviation of world wide web and then typing in aquapierre immediately after then adding another dot immediately after that and follow that with c o m but put them closer together.

I made a positive response to you with nice memories of the Kent Palmers and can't understand why they have pulled my email other than agreeing to write and mentioning that I would leave it to you initiate a contact as I don't know this sites protocol in respect to exchanging email addresses.

I am Paul Shewen son of Gill & grandson of Fred & Freida Green .
I had always been told I was of Portuguese decent and now I know the background where it all began.
So many memories of my happy childhood holidays with Fred & Freida on the farm at Three Holes then Stow Bardolph., poor Fred had 6 females to content with. Friday fish & chips from the Palmer Van…bliss.
In 1971 , age 17 I took what was supposed to be a 2 year working trip around Australia , Im still here but I do miss Norfolk.
Thoroughly enjoyed your research. Thankyou.

8:57pm 05-13-2019 Stu: Wow, this web site has just boomed before my eyes. I have seen photos of my great granddad, Fransico Da Silva, and granddad, Fransico Charles Parker, for the first time and my wife Ann spotted his dimple in his chin which I inherited.
I am fascinated by the funeral attendance of Francisco Da Silva by the names not in attendance especially his eldest ,Francisco Charles Parker but I know grandad died young and may have predeceased .
It is amazing that he was known for his gun and dog and mum would tell me about hunting with him and her dad in the little punts and his punt gun that was like a cannon that blew the boat backwards as it emptied the sky of ducks. No wonder he was known for his huge game count.
Well done on your research Annie,If my mum was alive today she could fill in the gaps and identify a lot of unknown photos. I'm so glad a lot of what she told me sank in. I guess it's because I had no father that my grandad and great grandad became heroes and a role models but 6 months is a bit harsh for poaching though ! .Mind you ,from what mum told me, there was other reasons for keeping him off the streets as he was a handsome man and the girls did like him. But that is another story

I forgot to add that the order of the birth of Friscos children differs from your pages as it is as my mother ,Cecily,told me.
I guess the difference explains a few mysteries for me :-)

6:15pm 05-13-2019 Stuart: I am a grandson of Frisco and haveheard many tales of him.Though he died long before I was borne my mother,(and his youngest daughter) Cecily Maude, said I was a ringer for him in looks and ways.
Friscos off spring all moved from Norfolk, Uncle Ken to Cape Town,Irene (Reney) to Niagara and Uncle Cyril to Rochester, mum to Essex after many years.They all kept in touch with visits from abroad and in her later years mum visited South Africa and Canada.
Uncle Cyril is who I will always recall Kindly. Cyril was good to mum and to myself and younger brother .
Ken, Friscos eldest child and who married Eva, had two off spring, Avril and Dominica.
Irene and husband Paul,adopted a child in Canada in lieu of me, for Irene was to adopt me as I was born out of wedlock. Mum kept me in the end.
Cyril and his wife Milley had one big happy family and, as I have not seen them since Cyril died in the late 70s, I'll do my best to name them all as Roy, Brian, Kieth,Marion,Ian and Derrick.
I have visited both my great grand fathers and Friscos grave on my visits to Norfolk.Great grandad is in the church at Hilgay and grandad (if I may call you that,Frisco ?) is buried in the church yard of East Dereham, "Sleeping where no shadows fall" as the inscription reads.
For all the wrong reasons (and who knows, maybe for the best) the family in some aspects is scattered and incommunicado.

I visit England every year and, even before I came across this site , had already decided to visit granddad Friscos grave as a promise to my mum (his daughter) Cecily Maude.
She died in 2000 and wanted me to scatter her ashes next to her dad, but for the usual reasons that have nothing to do with love and loss, family dispute meant I was unable to fulfil that request but I will share a beer with him as I tell him what has happened since my last visit to his grave.
It was with my wife and two children (now parents themselves).Mum packed a picnic and as we sat where no shadows fell she told us more tales of Frisco until the ants climbed on her legs and we all laughed as she the old bugger is still playing tricks on me.
I vaguely remember Grandma Beattie,Friscos wife and mother to Ken, Irene,Cyril and Cecily.
After Frisco and Beattie parted she moved to Rochester where she lived with a merchant sailor who we got to know as grandpop French.
I remember her to flat faced lap dogs and we still have her Victorian umbrella in the hall way.
All our exotic prenames herald back to the days of our Portuguese ancestors who were De Silvas, probably why I have such a passion for hot chillies.
I may bump into you twixt the 16th and 23rd of August you if you visiting a place where no shadows fall ?
